Lazio Extend Consecutive Serie A Clean Sheet Run Following Victory Over Bologna

Lazio have extended their run of consecutive clean sheets to four following yesterday’s win over Bologna.

The Biancocelesti picked up all three points in a confident display at the Stadio Olimpico yesterday, winning 3-0 thanks to a Ciro Immobile penalty and Mattia Zaccagni brace.

Lazio struggled with defensive stability in the first half of the season, only picking up two clean sheets in the first 19 league games of the season, but things have changed following the Christmas break.

Maurizio Sarri’s side have kept clean sheets in their last four consecutive league matches, starting with the 3-0 win over Salernitana. Since then, they’ve drawn Atalanta 0-0, beaten Fiorentina 3-0 and won over Bologna 3-0 yesterday.

Interestingly, defender Francesco Acerbi has been absent from all four of these matches, being stuck on the sidelines due to a muscle injury. In his place, Patric has come in, performing well in Sarri’s system with his tactical flexibility and work rate.
