Lazio full back Manuel Lazzari may be sidelined for a number of weeks following an injury suffered in the win over Bologna.
As reported by Italian media outlet LazioNews24 earlier today, the 28-year-old Italian full back will undergo an MRI tomorrow to understand the extent of his injury, but the fear is that he’ll be out of action for more than 20 days.
This has come at a terrible time for Lazzari, who was finally beginning to show Maurizio Sarri his best at Lazio. The player suffered a distractive injury to the flexors of his left thigh, but no further details are known yet.
The 28-year-old Lazzari, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2024, has made 29 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1386 minutes. In that time, he’s scored two goals and provided one assist. He took a while to settle under Sarri, but now he’s finally finding his quality again.
