Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi’s agent will meet the club next month to discuss the player’s future.
As reported by Italian newspaper La Repubblica (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 33-year-old Italian defender is currently out injured due to a muscle injury, but the Biancocelesti are already thinking about the future and whether or not they’ll renew his contract.
Acerbi’s current deal with Lazio expires in 2025 but his future is currently hanging in the balance, with Juventus and Milan reportedly interested in him. His relationship with the fans has seriously deteriorated this season, which could also contribute to a possible move away.
His agent Federico Pastorello will meet with the Biancocelesti’s management at some point next month to discuss the Italian defender and whether or not he has a place in Maurizio Sarri’s project in Rome.
Acerbi has made 24 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2081 minutes. In that time, he’s scored three goals and provided two assists, helping the side keep six clean sheets.
