Lazio Primavera further consolidated their position at the top of the Primavera 2 table with a 5-0 win over Salernitana on Saturday.
The Biancocelesti made up for the poor performance in the first meeting against the Campania side, where they lost 2-0, and now they’ve tightened their grip at the top of the table.
Valerio Crespi opened the scoring after 33 minutes to give Lazio a 1-0 lead and he found his brace early into the second half, making it 2-0 in the 48th minute. Florent Shehu added to the advantage in the 59th minute, scoring his fifth goal of the season.
Crespi netted his hattrick in the 63rd minute, his ninth goal of the campaign, before Antonio Troise closed out the game in the 80th minute, ending the match 5-0 for the Roman side.
The victory was Lazio’s fifth consecutive win and they now have a four-point lead in the Primavera 2 table over Cesena ,who have a game in hand.
Their next match is against Ternana Primavera on 19th February. The last time these two teams met, the Roman club came out 4-0 winners.
