Thomas Strakosha may renew his contract with Lazio after all, and a new meeting has been scheduled.
As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Albanian has made no commitments to other clubs following last month’s transfer window.
Despite being able to sign a pre-contract with another team, he has not received offers from anyone better than the Biancocelesti; as such, Strakosha may decide to stay with Lazio. President Claudio Lotito and Sporting Director Igli Tare will meet with his agents within the next two weeks to try and lay the foundations for an agreement.
The 26-year-old Albanian shot stopper has re-found his form this season under coach Maurizio Sarri. He had not made a single league appearance in the first 15 games, with Pepe Reina preferred, but he has since turned things around and become the club’s number one once again.
Strakosha has been with Lazio since the summer of 2012 and has made 193 appearances across all competitions for the Roman club since then.
Lazio would be silly not to renew it
