Lazio have begun following FC Zurich defender Becir Omeragic ahead of this summer’s transfer window.
As reported by Italian media outlet Calciomercato.com earlier today, the Biancocelesti know that they need to rebuild their defence in the summer and so they have begun to follow a number of potential targets, in order to be fully prepared.
One of the players that Lazio are now following is the 20-year-old Omeragic, who is contracted to FC Zurich until 2023. The player is a central defender who can also play as a right-back if needed, making him a versatile choice for coach Maurizio Sarri.
The Swiss defender is worth around €7 million, but this could change over the coming months, especially if Lazio’s interest heats up.
Omeragic has made 21 Super League appearances this season for FC Zurich, for a total of 1769 minutes. In that time, he’s provided one assist and helped the side keep seven clean sheets.
