Jovane Cabral made his Lazio debut in the final minutes of last night’s 2-1 loss to Porto.
As highlighted by Italian media outlet LazioNews24 last night, the 23-year-old Cape Verdean winger replaced an exhausted Pedro in the 84th minute of last night’s Europa League play-off clash, playing in the centre of the attack.
Whilst Jovane did not have much time to shine, he did manage to get his first taste of wearing the Lazio shirt. The former Sporting man will be hoping to string together some appearances once his fitness reaches its peak.
Lazio Face Competition From Real Madrid in Race to Sign Napoli Goalkeeper Ospina
The Cape Verdean winger was signed by the Biancocelesti on transfer deadline day last month, with the Roman club picking him up on a loan deal with a buy option attached.
His arrival confused some Lazio fans, as it was clear that the club needed to sign a backup centre forward, but instead, they only picked up a winger.
