Lazio midfielder Mattia Zaccagni will be forced to miss the second leg of the Europa League play-off tie against Porto.
As highlighted by Italian media outlet LazioNews24 last night, the 26-year-old Italian midfielder picked up a booking in the 77th minute of the 2-1 loss to the Portuguese side last night after fouling Mateus Uribe. He tried to talk his way out of the booking, to little avail.
The unnecessary booking means that Zaccagni will now be unavailable for Lazio’s return match against Porto next week, having already picked two yellow cards in the group stages.

It’s a painful loss for coach Maurizio Sarri, as the former Hellas Verona man is quickly becoming one of the most exciting players in the Biancocelesti squad.
The 26-year-old Italian midfielder has made 24 appearances across all competitions so far this season for Lazio, for a total of 1464 minutes. In that time, he’s scored five goals and provided six assists.
