Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri is set to deploy Felipe Anderson as a false nine in tomorrow’s match against Udinese.

Team News

Star striker Ciro Immobile is currently unavailable due to flu-like symptoms, putting him in doubt for the game against the Bianconeri. He was forced to miss Lazio‘s Europa League loss to Porto on Thursday as well.

Francesco Acerbi and Manuel Lazzari are also both unavailable due to injuries, and Luis Alberto and Lucas Leiva are both disqualified due to yellow-card suspensions. Luiz Felipe, Adam Marusic and Pedro are at risk of picking up a yellow-card suspension should they get booked in tomorrow’s game.

Expected Starting Lineup

Sarri is set to pick the strongest possible squad available to him, with injuries and suspensions forcing him into certain decisions, like starting Felipe Anderson as a false nine. The options on the bench are a little limited for the 63-year-old Italian coach, so he will be hoping to avoid any problematic injuries in tomorrow’s match.

Lazio (4-3-3): Thomas Strakosha; Adam Marusic, Luiz Felipe, Patric, Elseid Hysaj; Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Danilo Cataldi, Toma Basic; Pedro, Felipe Anderson, Mattia Zaccagni.
