Competition From Juventus Threatens to Thwart Lazio’s Attempts to Sign Milan’s Romagnoli

Lazio are trying to secure Alessio Romagnoli’s signature soon due to the serious competition from Juventus.

As reported by Italian newspaper Il Tempo (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Biancocelesti are looking to replace the outgoing Luiz Felipe with the Milan captain, whose contract expires with the Rossoneri at the end of this season.

Romagnoli is reportedly ready to sign a five-year deal with Lazio worth €3 million net per season, and the club are working to try and finalise an agreement soon.

The reason behind their increased pace is due to serious competition from Juventus, who are also interested in signing the 27-year-old Italian defender.

Romagnoli has made 23 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1789 minutes. In that time, he’s scored one goal and provided one assist, helping the side keep nine clean sheets. He is a childhood Lazio fan and is reportedly incredibly keen on the move to Rome.
