Lazio Star Immobile in Doubt for Europa League Play-Off vs Porto

Lazio star Ciro Immobile is feeling better but is still in doubt for Thursday’s Europa League match against Porto.

As reported by Italian newspaper La Repubblica (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 32-year-old Italian striker missed the 1-1 draw with Udinese yesterday due to a flu, but he’s finally on the road to recovery.

Lazio are still concerned, however. Immobile is still struggling with a fever and so he’s in doubt for the second leg of the Europa League play-off against Porto, taking place on Thursday in the Stadio Olimpico.

The 32-year-old Italian striker also missed the first leg in Porto last week and his potential absence on Thursday would all but guarantee the team’s exit from the competition.

Immobile has made 29 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2366 minutes. In that time, he’s scored 23 goals and provided three assists, being the main star and focal point of Maurizio Sarri’s squad.
