Pedro Ruled Out of Lazio’s Europa League Play-Off vs Porto

Lazio are a little worried following the results of Pedro’s medical tests, after the player suffered injury in the match against Udinese.

As reported by Italian newspaper La Repubblica (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 34-year-old Spanish veteran suffered an ankle injury in the first half of the Biancocelesti’s 1-1 draw with Udinese on the weekend, coming off after just 24 minutes.

Pedro underwent a round of tests at the Paideia clinic yesterday and results show that he has suffered a tendinitis in his tibia. The next 36 hours will therefore be decisive in determining his likely recovery time, but it’s certain that he’ll miss Lazio’s Europa League play-off clash against Porto.

The 34-year-old Pedro, who is contracted to Lazio until 2023, has been one of the more important players in coach Maurizio Sarri’s squad this season. He has made 33 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 2239 minutes. In that time, he’s scored eight goals and provided five assists.
