Lazio president Claudio Lotito wants the team to progress in the Europa League by securing a definitive win over Porto this evening.
As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Biancocelesti president wants the club to reach the quarter-finals of the competition this season and yesterday he arrived at Formello to fire up his squad.
The Lazio squad took an optional training retreat in Formello yesterday, and the majority of the squad stayed in the training centre over night. Lotito joined his players at the dinner and he expressed his belief and excitement for this evening’s match against Porto.
The Roman club need to pick up a decisive victory tonight, winning by at least two goals as they lost the first leg in Portugal 2-1 last week.
Star striker Ciro Immobile’s condition is a little shaky heading into the game, but he is desperate to take part as he understands the importance of this evening’s clash.
