Lazio winger Pedro found a little joy in a bitter night at the Stadio Olimpico yesterday, hitting an important career milestone.
As highlighted by Lega Serie A on Twitter earlier today, the 34-year-old Spaniard scored his 8th Serie A goal of the season in last night’s defeat to the Partenopei, which was his 100th goal in Europe’s top five leagues.
Pedro was brought onto the pitch during the second half by Maurizio Sarri yesterday and he quickly made a difference for Lazio, giving them a hint of happiness before Napoli secured their late winner.
The 34-year-old Spaniard, who is contracted to Lazio until 2023, has made 35 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2335 minutes. In that time, he’s scored nine goals and provided five assists, being one of the more important players in Sarri’s squad.
Pedro joined the club on a free transfer last summer after terminating his contract with rivals Roma.
