Lazio midfielder Danilo Cataldi is set to miss the next two league matches due to injury, hoping to be fit in time for the clash against Roma.
As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 27-year-old Italian midfielder picked up a minor flexor injury in the 2-2 draw with Porto last week, forcing him to the sidelines.
The Biancocelesti midfielder is hopeful that he’ll be fit in time for the upcoming Derby della Capitale against Roma on March 20, a match that has extra meaning for the local boy.
The 27-year-old Cataldi has made 33 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1698 minutes. In that time, he’s scored two goals and provided three assists, slowly growing into a quality midfielder under coach Maurizio Sarri.
