Two months after his thigh injury, Francesco Acerbi is set to return to Lazio’s starting lineup for the upcoming game against Cagliari.
As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 33-year-old Italian defender suffered a thigh injury in the draw with Empoli on 6th January and he’s been sidelined ever since, only playing six minutes in the 2-1 defeat to Napoli last week.
The 33-year-old Italian centre back has made 25 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2087 minutes. In that time, he’s scored three goals, provided two assists and helped the side keep six clean sheets.
It’s likely that Acerbi will be sold by Lazio in the upcoming summer transfer window, should an offer of around €5 million arrive.
