The Argentinian forward would gladly return to Italy with Sevilla ready to sell him at a bargain price. Maurizio Sarri considers him the perfect winger for his attacking system and president Claudio Lotito is unconvinced, largely due to the player’s age.

The 34-year-old Papu Gomez has made 32 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2072 minutes. In that time, he’s scored five goals and provided three assists, only missing a handful of games all campaign.
