Porto Midfielder Vitinha Tops Lazio’s List of Summer Transfer Targets

Lazio are seriously interested in signing Porto midfielder Vitinha in the upcoming summer transfer window.

As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 22-year-old Portuguese midfielder massively impressed the Roman club during their recent Europa League play-off tie and he attracted the attention of both Igli Tare and Maurizio Sarri.

Vitinha’s €20 million price tag is a little excessive but Lazio are hoping that talks with Jorge Mendes can help make a deal more accessible. The midfielder is contracted to Porto until 2024 and they are not particularly desperate to sell him.

The 22-year-old Vitinha, who is a product of Porto’s youth system, has made 32 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2094 minutes. In that time, he’s scored three goals and provided three assists.

Lazio are also interested in signing Sassuolo midfielder Maxime Lopez but he may also be difficult to sign due to his €20 million price tag.
