Lazio star Ciro Immobile is closing in on a number of important Biancocelesti and Serie A records.
As reported by Italian newspaper La Repubblica (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the upcoming match against Cagliari is where the 32-year-old Italian striker will make his 200th Serie A appearance wearing a Lazio shirt, an impressive milestone for the talismanic figure.
Immobile has already scored 24 goals in total this season, one less than in the whole of the last campaign. He is one goal behind Silvio Piola’s record of 143 Serie A goals with Lazio and he’s aiming to equal this record against Cagliari.
The 32-year-old Italian star is 15th in the all-time Serie A top scorer charts with 174 goals. In front of him is Giampiero Boniperti at 178 and Fabio Quagliarella at 180.
Immobile has scored 11 goals in 13 different meetings against Cagliari during his career, meaning he can make important ground on a number of important records tomorrow evening.
