A handful of Lazio fans will attend this evening’s Serie A clash against Cagliari at the Unipol Domus in Sardinia.
As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the match has been flagged by the National Observatory on Sporting Events as a risk and so residents of the Lazio region have been banned from purchasing tickets for anywhere except the away stand.
A win for Maurizio Sarri’s side this evening is key if the team want to stay involved in the race for a top four finish this season. They currently sit 7th in the Serie A table, seven points behind 4th place Juventus.
Cagliari are fighting hard to avoid relegation and they currently sit 17th in the table, three points ahead of relegation candidates Venezia, who have a game in hand.
