Lazio May Offer Interesting Exchange Deal to Atalanta for Carnesecchi

Lazio are considering offer Atalanta an exchange deal involving Raul Moro and young goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi.

The Biancocelesti need to sign a new shot stopper in the upcoming summer transfer window, considering that both Pepe Reina and Thomas Strakosha’s contracts expire with the club at the end of June.

As reported by Italian newspaper L’Eco di Bergamo (via LazioNews24), Lazio are thinking about a possible exchange deal with Atalanta, sending Raul Moro to Lombardy in exchange for Carnesecchi, who is currently on loan at Cremonese.

The Spanish teenager is not particularly convinced by this idea, however, and he’d prefer to earn more regular playing time in Rome under Maurizio Sarri, although that may be difficult to achieve for now.

The 21-year-old Carnesecchi, who is contracted to Atalanta until 2023, has made 26 Serie B appearances so far this season, for a total of 2274 minutes. In that time, he’s conceded 24 goals and helped the side keep eight clean sheets.
