Lazio sporting director Igli Tare is already in talks with Atalanta regarding Pierluigi Gollini and Matteo Pessina.
The Biancocelesti sporting director is planning ahead for this summer’s transfer window, wanting to be fully prepared in order to provide coach Maurizio Sarri with the best possible reinforcements. He is currently looking for a new goalkeeper and a midfielder who can play between the lines.
As reported by Goal.com, Tare is in talks with Atalanta for Gollini and Pessina; the goalkeeper is currently on loan at Tottenham but they’re unlikely to pay the €15 million needed to make his stay permanent.
When he returns to Bergamo in the summer, his contract will expire with Atalanta in a year, meaning that a departure is likely. Lazio have studied two options, either buying him outright for €10 million or signing him on loan with a buy option attached after a one-year contract renewal.
Regarding the midfield, Lazio are trying for Pessina but it would be a more difficult deal to pull off as coach Gian Piero Gasperini has no interest in losing the Italian midfielder.
