Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is currently at a crossroads amidst interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United.
Since Maurizio Sarri’s arrival this past summer, the 27-year-old Serbian midfielder has adapted quickly to the 4-3-3 system and is continuing to shine in Rome. So far this campaign, he has scored eight goals and provided nine assists; impressive numbers considering his position on the pitch.
As reported by Il Tempo (via LazioNews24), Milinkovic-Savic‘s future still remains shrouded in doubt. His contract with Lazio expires in 2024 and if he does not sign a renewal he could be sold in the upcoming Summer Transfer Window in a final attempt to fetch a high fee.
PSG have been keen on him for some time now and are ready to offer around €70-80 million. Manchester United are also in the running as well, having been interested since 2018 when Jose Mourinho was in charge, although their interest is less concrete at this stage.
Milinkovic-Savic currently earns €4 million net per season and at 27 years of age, he may finally select to make the jump to a top European club to secure regular UEFA Champions League football; something that either of the two aforementioned clubs should be able to provide.
