Milan Captain Romagnoli Reportedly Decides to Sign For Lazio: The Details

Alessio Romagnoli has reportedly told agent Mino Raiola to finalise his move to Lazio, leaving Milan after seven years.

The 27-year-old Italian defender’s contract expires with the Rossoneri at the end of this season and a renewal will not be signed, meaning his time in the Lombardy capital is quickly drawing to a close. He has since been linked with moves to both the Biancocelesti and Juventus.

The Milan captain is known to be a lifelong Biancocelesti fan and his arrival will be key for the Roman club, who are set to lose both Luiz Felipe and Patric from the defence at the end of this season.

Lazio have offered the Italian centre back a contract worth around €3 million net per season plus add-ons, a significant drop from the current €6 million net including add-ons that he receives in the Lombardy capital.

Romagnoli has made 25 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1905 minutes. In that time, he’s scored one goal and provided one assist, helping the side keep 10 clean sheets.
