Lazio Set Sights on Udinese’s Silvestri as Possible Strakosha Replacement

Lazio have added Udinese goalkeeper Marco Silvestri to their list of possible replacements for Thomas Strakosha.

The 26-year-old Albanian shot stopper’s contract expires with the Roman club at the end of this season and he’s open to a renewal, but only in certain conditions; Strakosha wants a signing bonus, a valuable contract and a guarantee of regular playing time.

As reported by Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, president Claudio Lotito is reflecting on the conditions put on the table by Strakosha and he’s lining up possible replacements in the meantime, not wanting Lazio to get caught off guard.

Among these ideas is the 31-year-old Silvestri, who is contracted to Udinese until 2024. He has an estimated market value of around €4-6 million and his salary is perfectly in line with the club’s wage structure.

The Italian goalkeeper has made 26 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2370 minutes. In that time, he’s conceded 37 goals and helped the side keep six clean sheets.
