Lazio’s Contract Offer to Milan Captain Romagnoli: The Figures

Lazio are ready to sign Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli on a free transfer and they’ve prepared a contract for him.

The 27-year-old Italian centre back is set to leave the Rossoneri after seven years in the summer, when his contract expires with the club. A renewal is not set to be offered and the Biancocelesti are incredibly keen to pick him up, believing him to be the perfect option as they overhaul the defence.

Milan Captain Romagnoli Reportedly Decides to Sign For Lazio: The Details

As reported by Italian newspaper Il Tempo (via LazioNews24), Lazio are hoping to avoid competition for Romagnoli should the salary requests get too high, so they’ve prepared a €3 million net per season contract plus add-ons for the defender.

CM: Romagnoli recovers and has a mission at Milan – his future unclear as Lazio advance

One issue may be the commissions requested by agent Mino Raiola, but Romagnoli’s childhood support of Lazio may be the difference maker.

The current deal is a significant wage drop for the 27-year-old Italian defender; with Milan, he earns €10.175 million gross per season, numbers that Lazio simply cannot match.
