Maurizio Sarri is still desperate for Lazio to sign Matias Vecino and Emerson Palmieri in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Biancocelesti are preparing to overhaul their squad at the end of this season and the 63-year-old Italian coach is particularly keen to acquire the Inter midfielder and the Chelsea-owned full-back, believing them to be perfect fits for his 4-3-3 system in Rome.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Vecino will leave Inter on a free transfer in the summer and Lazio are hoping to secure him on a low-cost deal, being an important reinforcement for Sarri, who worked with him in the 2014/15 season.
Juventus prepare to pounce for Chelsea duo Jorginho and Emerson
Regarding Emerson, things are a little more complicated. He is currently on loan at French side Lyon, who are thinking of making his stay permanent in the summer, meaning that he would not be returning to Chelsea. In addition, Juventus are preparing to pounce for the left-back, who formerly played for Roma when he was last in Serie A.
The Italian-Brazilian would gladly return to playing under Sarri but the Lyon obstacle is significant, so Lazio would need to work smartly to pull off a deal.
