Sebastiano Esposito has attracted the attention of Lazio, who face competition from Sassuolo and Atalanta for the Inter owned talent.

Ex-Bayern Munich Defender Markus Babbel: “Sebastiano Esposito Will Never Make It At Inter With Attitude He’s Shown At Basel”

The 19-year-old Italian forward is currently on loan with Swiss side FC Basel and he’s impressing with his new team, netting four goals and providing four assists in 13 Super League games this campaign. The loan move contains an €8 million buy option, although Inter hold a buy-back clause.

As reported by Il Giornale (via LazioNews24), Lazio are interested in signing Esposito to provide star striker Ciro Immobile some reliable backup. There is currently no other centre forward in the squad following Vedat Muriqi’s departure in the January Transfer Window.

The Biancocelesti would have to fight off Sassuolo and Atalanta for his signature however, and it is likely that FC Basel will activate the buy option in the summer, meaning he would not be a low-cost choice; although he would be an exciting signing.
