Tammy Abraham ‘Couldn’t Have Asked for More’ After Brace in Derby vs Lazio

Tammy Abraham was speechless following his decisive performance in Roma’s derby win over Lazio, where he scored a brace.

The 24-year-old English forward had an incredible game against the Biancocelesti yesterday, scoring the opening goal after less than a minute before finding his second only 19 minutes later. The former Chelsea man has now netted 15 goals in 29 Serie A appearances this season.

Speaking to DAZN (via LazioNews24) after the game, Abraham first reacted to his brace against Lazio.

I have no words, to see what it means to everyone, to my fans, it’s great. I couldn’t have asked for more than today’s brace, it’s fantastic.

The English forward discussed how it felt to play in Rome and his transition after leaving Chelsea last year.

All this is thanks to my teammates and the coach, they made me feel at home from the first moment, if we are united we can obtain these results.

Roma have invested a lot in me and I want to repay them.

Finally, Abraham revealed that he regrets wasting the chance to secure a hattrick for Roma against Lazio yesterday.

I’m still disappointed that I missed the goal, it could have been a hattrick. But I can’t complain because I scored two goals and we won in our stadium. We are Roma.

The 24-year-old Abraham, who is contracted to the Giallorossi until 2026, has made 40 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 3174 minutes. In that time, he’s scored 23 goals and provided four assists.
