River Plate Trequartista Palavecino Attracts the Attention of Lazio

Lazio are closely following River Plate forward Agustin Palavecino ahead of a possible move in the summer.

The 25-year-old Argentinian, who can play as either a trequartista or a mezzala, is a fan favourite at River after scoring the equaliser in a heated derby against rivals Boca Juniors. He is a creative and intelligent player with good passing and dribbling, being an electric threat in the final third.

As highlighted by La Lazio Siamo Noi, Lazio are interested in Palavecino and have been following him for some time now. Valued at around €10 million, the 25-year-old is contracted to River Plate until December 2024, making a deal relatively accessible in the summer.

Eight Games Remain as a New Era for Lazio Approaches

Palavecino began his career in Colombia, impressing with Platense before shining at Deportivo Cali. His cousin is former Roma and Tottenham man Erik Lamela, who is currently contracted to Sevilla.

Last season Palavecino made 45 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 2740 minutes. In that time, he scored seven goals and provided seven assists.
