One Obstacle Remains as Lazio Work to Sign Expiring Milan Captain Romagnoli

Alessio Romagnoli is only a step away from joining Lazio now, with negotiations underway regarding agent commissions.

The 27-year-old Italian centre back has agreed to sign a five-year deal worth €3.2 million net per season, meaning he is on the verge of putting pen to paper, ending his seven-year association with Milan.

Five Lazio Players Will Leave the Club on a Free Transfer in the Summer

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Lazio met with Romagnoli‘s agent Mino Raiola last month to discuss a deal and things were positive, with another meeting being scheduled for next month.

Lazio are looking to find a complete agreement as soon as possible to try and avoid any competition from Juventus; the only detail remaining now is the commissions for the Milan captain’s entourage, and considering that this will be a free transfer, these are likely to be high.

Romagnoli will become the new pillar of Lazio’s defence and he will be finally wearing the shirt of the club he has supported since he was a boy.
