Lazio are preparing for a future that has an absence of a star midfielder and that includes Club Brugge talent Charles De Ketelaere.
Maurizio Sarri wants six to eight new players in the summer, so significant funds will be needed. As a result, the Biancocelesti are ready to sell either Luis Alberto or Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in the upcoming summer transfer window, sacrificing a player in order to fund a squad overhaul.
As highlighted by LazioNews24, Lazio’s summer window depends exclusively on the sale of Milinkovic-Savic. Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are both keen to pick him up, but for now, neither seem willing to offer the €100 million requested by the Biancocelesti.
Should either Milinkovic-Savic or Luis Alberto leave in the summer, Lazio’s dream option to replace them would be the 21-year-old De Ketelaere, who is having an incredible season with Club Brugge. The talented youngster can play as a trequartista, offensive-minded midfielder or as a winger.
So far, De Ketelaere has scored 17 goals and provided nine assists in 41 appearances across all competitions this season.
