Luka Romero is impressing at the Argentina first-team training camp, a sign of his growth at Lazio this season.
The 17-year-old Argentinian forward joined the Biancocelesti in an incredibly low-cost deal last summer, with the Roman side only having to pay RCD Mallorca a €200,000 training premium. He has made four Serie A appearances so far this campaign and is one of the most exciting talents in Italy.
As reported by Corriere della Sera (via LazioNews24), Romero was called up by Lionel Scaloni for this international break, training alongside stars like Lionel Messi. He is doing well amongst the first team regulars and has impressed many.
Maurizio Sarri is a big fan of Romero for his dedication, tactical application and technical qualities, believing him to be a key part future of Lazio. He’s ready to place more trust in the teenager and this could result in more consistent minutes as the season draws to a close.
