Pressure Mounts for Lazio to Agree Romagnoli Deal as Milan Push for Renewal

Lazio need to close out the deal for Alessio Romagnoli soon as Milan threaten to agree a contract renewal with the defender.

The 27-year-old Italian is the Biancocelesti’s number one target for the upcoming summer transfer window and his current deal with the Rossoneri expires in June, but things are not proving simple for the Roman club.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Milan have returned to Romagnoli with the intention of reaching a contract renewal agreement. Lazio’s contract offer totalled €3 million net per season, with a low fixed amount and some hard-to-reach bonuses.

Milan’s latest offer is a fixed €3.2 million net per season salary, which appears to be significantly more convincing. Claudio Lotito will now have to match that offer and things could get more expensive should Lazio delay any longer.

Romagnoli is keen on the move to Lazio but he also needs to look out for his own future and so the Biancocelesti cannot afford to waste any more time.
