Emerson Palmieri and Fabiano Parisi top Lazio’s wish list in their search for a new left back.
The Biancocelesti are looking to add some reinforcements to Maurizio Sarri’s squad in the summer as they overhaul the squad, kicking off a new cycle under the 63-year-old Italian coach. Veteran Stefan Radu’s contract will be renewed, but it’s clear that some new faces are needed as well.
As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera (via LazioNews24), topping Lazio’s wish list are Chelsea’s Emerson and Empoli’s Parisi, two players who have been targeted by the Roman club for a long time now.
The Italian-Brazilian full back is currently on loan at Lyon and they’re keen to snap him up on a permanent deal, so Parisi seems to be the more accessible of the two for now.
Sarri remembers Emerson well from his time at Chelsea and would be very happy to be reunited with him in Rome. The Empoli man, on the other hand, would be significantly cheaper to pick up, allowing funds to be used on more important targets.
