Lazio Change Their Tune Regarding Future of Valencia Linked Patric

Patric seemed destined for a move to Valencia in the summer but Lazio have shaken the boat by offering him a new contract.

The 28-year-old Spanish defender’s current deal expires with the Biancocelesti at the end of this season and a renewal hasn’t seemed likely for some time now. He was incredibly close to a move to Valencia in the January transfer window before the Roman club convinced him to stay until the summer.

Valencia have been pushing for the Spaniard for months now but the renewed confidence of the Roman club and his excellent relationship with Maurizio Sarri could convince him to stay on in Rome for a little longer.

Patric has made 23 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1647 minutes. In that time, he’s scored one goal, provided one assist and proved himself to be tactically flexible in Sarri’s four-man defence.
