Hardly any spectators are expected at the Stadio Olimpico for Lazio’s upcoming Serie A clash against Sassuolo.

The Biancocelesti suffered a painful 3-0 Derby della Capitale defeat to intercity rivals Roma just before the recent international break and Maurizio Sarri noted yesterday his fury following the game. Both the coach and the fans expect the players to bounce back in today’s game.

It’s now up to the squad and Sarri to win back the affection of the fans following the incredibly difficult to digest derby defeat.

Sarri met with president Claudio Lotito and his players earlier this week to discuss his future with the former and the loss to Roma with the latter. The meeting with the Biancocelesti president did not led to any particularly conclusive results, with doubts remaining about the summer transfer window.
