As detailed by La Repubblica (via LazioNews24), Lazzari has proved his quality to Sarri and the Italian coach will ask president Claudio Lotito and sporting director Igli Tare to confirm the former SPAL man for next season.

Sarri has found a good balance in defence, deploying Lazzari on the right and Adam Marusic on the left, and he wants this pair to be confirmed ahead of the summer.

The 28-year-old Lazzari, who is contracted to Lazio until 2024, has made 32 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1526 minutes. In that time, he’s scored three goals and provided one assist.
