Maurizio Sarri will have a defining dinner with president Claudio Lotito tonight, where they’ll discuss the summer transfer market and his contract renewal.
Tonight’s meeting is when things will become clear regarding the project in Rome and the 63-year-old Italian coach’s future beyond this season. He wants around seven to eight new arrivals in the summer, something that seems hard to pull off unless a top player is sold.
Porto’s Conceicao & Gattuso Lined up to Succeed Sarri Should He Leave Lazio
As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Sarri wants Lazio to sign two goalkeepers, two or three centre backs, a left back, a regista, a mezzala and a backup striker. He already has a number of ideas in mind.
Kepa Arrizabalaga is Sarri’s top choice between the posts but the costs are too high, so Sergio Rico is a more likely option.

In defence, Lazio face competition from Roma for Nicolo Casale but it’s possible that Alessio Romagnoli could still arrival on a free transfer.
In the midfield, Sarri would gladly welcome Allan and Matias Vecino to Rome, even if they don’t exactly fit the idea of rejuvenating the squad. Up front, Genk’s Paul Onuachu has popped up as a viable option.
