Lazio Divided Between Chelsea Owned Emerson & Empoli’s Parisi

Maurizio Sarri would like Lazio to sign Emerson Palmieri but the club’s management would prefer to pick up Fabiano Parisi.

The 63-year-old Italian coach met with president Claudio Lotito and sporting director Igli Tare for dinner at Formello yesterday, where they discussed the upcoming summer transfer market and their plans. It was a mostly positive meeting and both parties left in high spirits.

Tare and Lotito, however, are currently reluctant to invest so much into Emerson and so they’ve proposed Empoli talent Parisi instead, who is significantly more affordable in terms of wages, even if both players would cost similar fees.

Updates are expected over the coming weeks as an agreement must be reached on a number of transfer targets ahead of the summer window.
