Lazio have no intention of losing top prospect Luka Romero and they plan to tie him down to a new deal.
The 17-year-old Argentinian forward has been one of the revelations of the season under Maurizio Sarri, impressing instantly at the pre-season training camp last summer following his arrival from RCD Mallorca. He has earnt a handful of Serie A appearances this campaign and is clearly a future star.
As reported by Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Romero’s potential is obvious and Lazio do not want to lose the young star, so they’re planning to tie him down to a five-year contract later this year in November, after he hits 18.
Paris Saint-Germain have begun following the Argentine teenager and they could look to make a move for him in the summer, with his current contract set to expire in 2023.
Lazio cannot tie him down to a long-term contract until he hits 18, so they’re forced to wait until November until they can formalise things. Sarri has already given his approval, believing in Romero’s potential.
