Lazio Still in the Running for Romagnoli With New Meeting Planned

A meeting will take place soon between Lazio and Alessio Romagnoli’s entourage as they look to iron out a deal.

The 27-year-old Italian centre-back’s contract expires with Milan at the end of this season and they recently approached him to discuss a contract renewal, but the talks did not lead to any results, and now his departure in the summer is all but certain.

As reported by Alfredo Pedullà (via LazioNews24), Lazio will meet with Romagnoli’s entourage soon, where they’ll try to tie him down to a deal. They’re prepared to pay over €3 million net per season plus add-ons to secure his signature. The first contact between the Biancocelesti and the Italian defender took place in September, with follow-up talks coming back in February.

Romagnoli is known to be a lifelong Lazio fan and he’d be fulfilling a childhood dream by wearing the Biancocelesti colours. The Roman club hope that this desire will help get a deal across the finish line.
