Italy’s top clubs are keen to sign Francesco Acerbi, whose departure from Lazio in the summer is increasingly likely.
The 34-year-old Italian centre back has suffered this season after the complete breakdown of the relationship between him and the Biancocelesti fans, all stemming from a ‘shh’ celebration carried out in December.
His physical issues and inconsistent form mean the Roman club are ready to wave goodbye to the former Sassuolo man.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Lazio are close to picking up Alessio Romagnoli on a free transfer, and this arrival would all but guarantee Acerbi’s departure in the summer, considering that both players are left-footed.
Milan, Inter and Juventus are all reportedly interested in picking up the 34-year-old Acerbi in the summer, who can be signed for around €6-7m.
