Official: Lazio’s Andre Anderson Completes Loan Move to Sao Paolo

Lazio youngster Andre Anderson has flown to Brazil to join Sao Paolo FC on a loan deal.

The 22-year-old Italian-Brazilian has only been given a handful of appearances by coach Maurizio Sarri this season, playing 61 minutes of Serie A action across four games. He returned from a decent loan spell at Salernitana but struggled to break into the Biancocelesti first team.

As reported by La Lazio Siamo Noi, Andre Anderson flew to Brazil earlier this week in order to complete his season-long loan move to Sao Paolo. The Brazilian side are reportedly set to pay an unspecified amount in the deal.

Brazil’s transfer market closes on 12th April, meaning the deal was concluded just in time. Official statements from both clubs are expected to arrive in a few days, with the deal further lightening up Lazio’s squad.

It’s hard to imagine Andre Anderson ever really breaking into the Lazio first team, but a positive experience out on loan could change things.
