Maurizio Sarri is trying to convince tactically flexible full back Patric to renew his contract with Lazio.
The 28-year-old Spaniard has become a tried and trusted member of Sarri’s Biancocelesti squad this season, proving his abilities as both a centre back and right back in the 4-3-3 system. His current contract expires at the end of this season but the Roman club do not want to lose him.
Lazio are ready to offer Patric a four-year deal worth €1.5m net per season, hoping it’ll convince the Spaniard not to accept a move to Valencia.
The 28-year-old Spanish defender, who joined the Biancocelesti in 2015 from Barcelona, has made 25 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1827 minutes. In that time, he’s scored one goal, provided one assist and helped the side keep 10 clean sheets.
