Ibrahimovic at Risk of Missing Milan’s Upcoming Match Against Lazio

Bad news for Zlatan Ibrahimovic as a knee injury risks ruling him out of Milan’s upcoming Serie A clash against Lazio.

The 40-year-old Swedish forward has been suffering from knee issues since last May, when the issue forced him to the sidelines for 123 days. This season, the former Paris Saint-Germain striker has missed 16 games through injury, leaving Stefano Pioli with limited options.

As reported by Sky Sports Italia (via LazioNews24), Ibrahimovic has suffered a knee overload and will be forced to the sidelines for the next 10 days or so, undergoing treatment at Milanello.

He’s expected to miss the upcoming matches against Genoa and Inter, and the duel with Lazio on 24th April is also in doubt.

Ibrahimovic’s contract expires with Milan at the end of this season and it’s still unclear whether he’ll decide to renew his deal or hang up his boots. He has netted eight Serie A goals this campaign, proving that he’s still a clinical forward.
