Lazio are looking to close out the deal for Alessio Romagnoli and Claudio Lotito plans to attend today’s meeting with the player’s entourage.
The Biancocelesti have been in talks with the 27-year-old Italian centre back for a number of months now and they’re incredibly keen to pick him up on a free transfer in the summer, believing him to be the perfect reinforcement for Maurizio Sarri’s side.
As reported by Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Lotito will meet with Romagnoli’s entourage today as he looks to close out the deal for the Milan captain. Lazio’s first offer was around €2 million net plus add-ons, but things could be closed with a salary of €3.2 million per season plus add-ons.
CM: Romagnoli nearing end of his time at Milan as Lazio’s president prepares decisive offer
Romagnoli has never denied his support for Lazio and his passion for the club plays a key role in the talks between the two parties.
The arrival of the Milan captain all but guarantees Francesco Acerbi’s departure in the summer; next month, his agent Federico Pastorello will arrive in Rome to define the defender’s future.
