Lazio Confident of Closing Out Romagnoli Deal Despite Hiccups

Lazio are still confident that they can close out a deal for Alessio Romagnoli despite a few obstacles.

The Biancocelesti initially offered the 27-year-old Italian defender a salary of €2 million net per season with add-ons attached, which would see it rise to €3 million. In last week’s meeting, they raised the offer, but still didn’t match the €3.5 million net per season requested by Romagnoli.

As detailed by La Lazio Siamo Noi, Lazio are still confident are closing out the deal but must raise their offer a little further. It’s possible that Romagnoli and his entourage will hold further talks with the club this week, either electronically or face-to-face, and updates are expected soon.

President Claudio Lotito is keen to close out the deal for Romagnoli soon, scared of the possible competition from Juventus in May. Mino Raiola won’t give any discounts but he knows his client’s desire to wear the Lazio shirt and so the club are cautious but confident.
