Lazio Ultras Come Out in Protest Ahead of Milan Clash

Lazio ultras have come out with a statement taking a stand over the ticket prices for the upcoming match against Milan.

The Biancocelesti will face the Rossoneri in an electric clash on Sunday evening at the Stadio Olimpico and many fans had hoped for fairly priced tickets, considering that Roma dropped their ticket prices to €5 for the Europa Conference League match against Bodo/Glimt, which led to an excellent atmosphere and packed stands.

As highlighted by the Lazio ultras statement, ticket prices start at €40 for a standard ticket to the Curva Nord, rising to €60 for the Tevere stands. These prices are considered excessive by fans, especially considering the impact of the COVID pandemic on the Italian economy.

President Claudio Lotito is known to be a shrewd businessman who places significant emphasis on the balance sheets, so it’s hard to imagine a significant drop in ticket prices at any time soon.

Below is the Lazio ultras statement in full (via LazioNews24):

That’s enough now, shame on you all, unworthy clubs! 40 euros for a Curva ticket for Lazio-Milan, 60 for the Tevere… Prices that are an insult to the Lazio fan, the one who has always been there, at home and away, and who certainly isn’t solved at big matches.

“Go to the stadium on your own.”

We won’t be there this time, but we’ll still make our support for the team felt. We’ll meet at 15:00 at Ponte Milvio, with scarves, flags and Biancocelesti banners.

At 19.30 we will then move outside the curve to support our Lazio. Everything for Lazio, nothing for Lotito… because Lazio belongs to the Lazio fans!
