Ciro Immobile is hungry for his second European Golden Boot and he’s keeping up the pressure on Karim Benzema and Robert Lewandowski.
Despite the criticism laid on him in recent months, the 32-year-old Italian striker continues to score in spades, dragging the Biancocelesti forward and further proving himself as one of the club’s best ever players. He currently tops the Serie A top scorer list, being two goals above Dusan Vlahovic, but that’s not enough for Immobile.
As highlighted by LazioNews24, Immobile currently sits second in the European Golden Boot rankings, tied with Benzema at 25 goals. The pair are both behind current favourite Lewandowski, who has netted 32 goals in only 30 Bundesliga games this campaign.
The Lazio star will continue to hunt for more goals until the final game of the season but it’s hard to imagine him catching up to the Bayern Munich talisman at this point. Second place, however, is definitely up for grabs.
